PAUL & DIANA

Brothers Point / Skye

I absolutely adore my beautiful couple, Diana & Paul. You’ll catch their special vibe when you look through the photos, their photographers caught the day perfectly.

Speaking of photographers we were so lucky to share the day with Nathan & Joanna @joannaelizaphotography @gullandcofilms who were also our wonderful witnesses!

You never know what Scotland will throw at you (weather wise) and on the morning of our ceremony I was feeling all sorts of emotions driving through sleet, hailstones, fierce rain, thunder & lightning, gale force winds and the occasional glimpse of sunrise trying to break through.

We had a very early start (7.30am) at Brothers Point. I have to say it was really nice to find both Nathan & Joanna sitting waiting in their car when I arrived. I noticed they both had the biggest smiles…clearly they love what they do! They had no complaints about the weather or the conditions. Only a request to keep the couple safe and a plan B for the ceremony if needed….

And jings it was needed!

Paul and Diana arrived to find the skies singing. Huge claps of thunder broke through the wind, as lightning danced around the mountain tops.

It was almost game over….

Until Diana smiled and laughed her way out of her car to greet us all.

‘Let’s go!’ was her command and we all looked up to the skies to somehow check for approval. The storm was moving incredibly fast..but following its own path out to sea. Maybe we might just get a break after all.

Our incredibly excited (hardy) couple practically skipped down the glen into the wedding clearing. Brothers Point creating a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony.

Paul & Diana decided to exchange wedding vows and rings. I was so proud of them both, just grabbing the moment and making it their own.

JULIE & EUAN

Raemoir House, Aberdeenshire

ALL the photos from this day are just amazing! I’m so impressed.

The rather awesome Donna Murray @donnamurrayphotography was the lovely lady behind the lens. She managed to grab every essence of this couple on the day!

The venue and staff were fantastic! Raemoir is just intimate and beautiful.

Julie & Euan were great fun from the get-go. Julie initially asked me, ‘can we just say I do? Because we don’t like any mushy stuff!’.

‘Well yes…if that’s what you want. But let me tell you a little bit about what we could do’. Ceremonies don’t have to be overly romantic in a flowery sense, they can be fun and meaningful in all sorts of ways.

Sarah (Euan’s sister) wrote a bespoke and very funny poem for the day. She delivered it comfortably and had everyone in stitches!

We also shared possibly the shortest proposal story ever told!

The guests were giggling at the couples questionnaire answers…these celebrated their similarities and differences. What makes them tick as a couple….

A bespoke music set from a wonderful musician, Gareth Thomson. He surprised everyone with some well picked songs…smiles all round!

A lovely Quaich toasting gesture completed our ceremony…Euan happily pulling out a can of Tennents Lager, instead of pouring Whisky .

The day was Harry Potter themed too. Magic touches everywhere you looked.

I’m pleased we had more than just ‘I do’ on the day. We ended up with a brilliant ceremony that reflected Julie & Euan and celebrated their love in their own (very special) way.

CASSIE & ANDREI

Achmelvich beach

Andrei and Cassie are just meant to be together.

An adorable couple and super friendly too!

We travelled to the stunning beach at Achmelvich for an intimate elopement in the sun.

I was so pleased to see Ross Cooper @rosscooperweddingphotographer. He was already scouting for the perfect photography spots and was excited to get to grips with the location.

Our wedding music was the sound of the ocean gently lapping up against the golden sands….so relaxing. Which suited this couple perfectly, they’re both incredibly chilled and deeply in love.

We shared a bespoke love poem….’Cassie my Love’.

Completed a traditional Scottish hand fast (tied the knot). I love seeing this gesture…just feels right in the Highlands!

We brought our two wonderful witnesses Daniela & Marian into the ceremony by conducting a sand ceremony…really couldn’t ask for a more apt gesture. Everyone made a good wish for the couple as they poured into the wedding urn…me too!

The vows and rings were at the heart of our ceremony and then we decided to finish with a cheeky Quaich toast…whisky all the way woo hoo!! Loved it!!

I wish them all the best for the future…

Mr & Mrs Negrila xx
